Tiger trio advances to quarters

PRINCETON — Three Princeton Tigers moved into Saturday's quarterfinals of the PIT unscathed.

Reiter Bird scored a 15-5 major decision at 125 over Harvard's Shane Mackie, Ted Bartoli (152) had falls over Coal City's Alex Leake (4:52) and Orion's Steven Bainter (4:00), and Dylan Olson whipped IVC's Daniel Hummer by a 20-9 major decision,

Tiger Darren Rowe rebounded from a 3:15 fall to Palos Heights Shepard, Igor Nunez by sticking IVC's Scott Ladd in 4:34 at 171.

Alan Delbridge (285) opened with a 2:46 fall over Winnebago's Josh Miller, but was pinned by Pittsfield's Jamie Wise in 1:03.

At 103, Reece Bird beat Dakota brown of Monticello by tech fall at 4:40, but lost by 1:10 fall to Wilmington's Andy Rodawald.

Cody Barringer also won a match at 130, defeating Cyle Reel of Pittsfield by a 13-4 major decision, before falling to Alec English of Prairie Ridge 12-7.

In other matches, Mike Bowman was pinned in 0:33 by Wilmington's Alex Jones at 112, Eric Bickett was pinned by Dakota's Brandon Lizer in 0:54 at 119, Cody Cumpton lost by 5:01 fall to Dixon's Nick Sutton at 135, Seth Sprouse lost twice by fall at 140, Earl Towne fell 13-10 to Harvard's Jerry Gratz at 145, Justin Lucas fell twice by fall at 189 and Jacob Robison dropped two matches at 215.
